The Social Divide of Dentistry and Smiles

This hit home with me, the idea that good dentistry is social privilege.

When my oldest wad very little I had Denti-Cal, the state version of Medicaid for teeth.

The dentist removed all my porcelain fillings and put in solver because he could bill for that. 20th ears later I am still fixing the poor work and damage done by a dentist I couldn’t pick and who was good enough to collect Denti-Cal but not good enough to work in my face.

Food for thought: only poor kids have silver windows on the or teeth.

I thankful that there is a Dental Clinic inside MEND Poverty for people who now are in the financial predicament I was in then.

💸 this is the story 🏥
