I didn’t know the job was dangerous when I took it

I knocked out a man within 10 minutes of starting work on Skid Row.
I’ve been propositioned for sex.
Someone pulled a knife on me at my desk this past Spring.
I’ve had clients waiting at my car.
I still get texts from a crazy for client who repeatedly wants to discuss my body and sex.

This job isn’t for wusses. It means encountering people in great need , financial , emotional, social.

"Safety is major concern for social workers, who often help clients in dangerous surroundings. The National Association of Social Worker’s Center for Workforce Studies and the Center for Health Workforce Studies at the University at Albany did a survey that found that four out of 10 social workers face personal safety issues at their work site.
