Why the Umenployment rate has nothing to do with the Poverty rate


There are many well off people seeking work who are not poor. There are poor people working as little as 1 hour a week who can’t be counted in the Unemployment figures. Neither are people who have given up on a job search … or have never looked for a job but remain unemployed counted in the Unempliyment Rate statistics.
