Homeless in Public

On my way into jury duty this morning I heard a child ask “why doesn’t that man sleep at home? You’re not supposed to sleep in public!”.
So, tell me. What I bothers you more; knowing that folks are homeless or having to see it?
Obviously when you are homeless,  everything is in public.
Imagine never using a private toilet. Or shower. Or clothes washer.  Always sitting in chairs that belong to someone else.

Not once being able to close the door and walk around in pajamas without the worry that someone will see you. Not being able to cook and leave food out on the counter. Owning your own silverware ….
And for everyone offended about women who breastfeed in public, remember that homeless women don’t have their own rooms to sit or lie in to feed their children.
