AHF just scheaduled a walk three weeks before the longstanding AIDs Project LA walk. This is the second time that AHF, a multi-million dollar charity has ursurped the social calendar of charity walks. They recently pulled this in Florida.
Pollitically, it is likely that charitable donations will get a smaller tax break in the future – so it is hard enough in this economy to gather donations – why undercut similar good causes?
I am otherwise a supporter of AIDs Healthcare Foundation, but APLA has been around since the 1980’s and offered housing for AIDs patients when no one would touch them. they are smaller and local and effective. A few of my welfare moms are AIDs patients and recieve services from both places.
