State Sen. Tony Strickland, R-Moorpark

See… sometimes I am not ashamed to be a Republican. Thanks Tony for your article in the Ventura County Star.

” The majority in Sacramento need to stop treating hard-working California families like an ATM machine by reaching into their pockets every time they run out of money.”

“If we want to get out of this budget mess once and for all, we need to do more than increase taxes, cut spending, or shift money from one government program to another. Instead, we need to create incentives for companies to move their businesses to California and put hard-working Californians back to work.”

– On a personal note – Jobs are not a limited commodity. We can make more jobs, come up with ideas, build companies, build buildings to house those companies – and oh yes – we live in southern California – home of the Movie star phenomenon but not home of the movie making. What is that about. Seriously, our Governor can make movies but not convince companies to make movies HERE?

Of course, this is also the same state that is eliminating fine arts programs everywhere in the schools. Somethings are beyond my ken.
